Pro Bono Opportunities

Pro bono work is a core part of SPARC Lab’s values.

We never want cost to prevent us from connecting with organizations working to advance equity, community well-being, and social impact. This is why we provide no-cost or reduced-rate strategic, research, and communications support to mission-driven organizations across the country. Pro bono engagements are approached with the same rigor and standards as paid work.

What We Support

Pro bono work is a good fit when projects are clearly defined and achievable in scope.

This work can include:

  • Research, insights, and rapid assessments

  • Communication and campaign strategy

  • Message, content, and website strategy

  • Community and partner engagement strategy

  • Advisory support related to communication, design, and implementation

How It Works

Pro bono engagements are structured and time-bound. Engagements are accepted based on available capacity.

  • Up to 100 hours of support per organization

  • One pro bono project per organization per year

  • Projects should not require out-of-pocket expenses

  • Projects that exceed scope may continue as paid engagements

Eligibility for Pro Bono Services

Pro bono support is reserved for organizations that do not have the financial resources to engage consulting services and would otherwise be unable to access this type of expertise.

Organizations with limited budgets may inquire about reduced-rate engagements, which are considered on a case-by-case basis. Pro bono and discounted capacity is limited, and not all requests can be accommodated.

Organizations with available budgets are encouraged to reach out about paid engagements

Getting Started

Organizations interested in pro bono work can reach out through the general contact form and indicate that their inquiry relates to pro bono support.

After an initial review, SPARC Lab may schedule a brief conversation to confirm fit and scope.
